Founded in 2013 by Legal Director and Founder Trish Ryan to offer clients a fresh way of obtaining top quality legal assistance. Trish brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Sydney Legal Consulting.
In addition to Trish Ryan, Sydney Legal Consulting engages experienced and senior lawyers to consult as required to provide our clients with a full suite of legal services.
About The team
trish ryan
Trish Ryan is the Legal Director and Principal of Sydney Legal Consulting. With over 15 years’ experience in the Sydney legal industry, having completed her BComm (Industry Relations) / LLB at the University of New South Wales in 2000, Trish is admitted as a Solicitor in New South Wales, and the High Court of Australia.
With extensive knowledge and experience in commercial law and a strong focus on employment law, Trish has spent the best part of her career working in top tier international law firms, and multinational corporations as in house counsel. In her role at Sydney Legal Consulting she has spent significant periods on secondment with one of Australia’s leading financial institutions, and regularly consults to the Employee Relations and Equal Employment Opportunity Team at that same company.
Trish is also an experienced workplace investigator for her clients, and consults to HR and law firms to provide investigation services to their clients. When working with Trish, you are working with a person who is dedicated to performing above and beyond when it comes to working with her clients.
Kate FitzSIMONS
Kate FitzSimons is the Senior Employment Lawyer and Employee Relations (ER) Consultant at Sydney Legal Consulting. Kate’s employment law practice is complemented by her ER expertise, having worked in both Australia and the US as an ER Consultant at a leading investment bank.
Kate has broad local and international experience across employment law matters, having commenced her career working on discrimination and human rights issues in government and intergovernmental organisations. Kate then enjoyed advising clients in employment and immigration law at an international law firm in Sydney before working in-house in the US and Australia.
Kate is a solutions-focused and practical lawyer who advises her clients on both their legal challenges as well as ER issues arising from restructuring, performance management and conduct concerns. Kate provides pragmatic and commercial advice, helping her clients mitigate the stress that workplace issues can place on both employers and employees.
Kate is admitted as a Solicitor (NSW) and an Attorney (New York State).
